"When we do sin, God does not reject us or disown us. Our fellowship with Him may be broken, but our relationship is not; we are still members of His family if we have truly committed our lives to Christ" (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Salvation Q & A Index #9, Frequently Asked Questions, Internet.)This is a fine-sounding argument (Col. 2:4) but the Word of God declares something different about what sin can do to a believer. Scripture reveals that much more than just our fellowship is jeopardized by sin:
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal 6:8,9)
For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live (Rom. 8:13).Once saved always saved is the essence of the devil's first lie to mankind (Gen. 3:4) denying spiritual death to the righteous through sin. Remember it was true grace teaching that gave us the following:
"The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God" (Gal. 5:19-21).
Larry King: There is no question in your mind that he [Pope John Paul II] is with God now?Billy Graham said the Pope believed in the cross, but that is misleading. The truth is: Pope John Paul II, like all other popes, believed Mary was co-redeemer with Christ. According to mariology, Jesus did NOT redeem the human race with his blood alone.Billy Graham: Oh, no. There may be a question about my own, but I don't think Cardinal Wojtyla, or the Pope - I think he's with the Lord, because he believed. He believed in the Cross. That was his focus throughout his ministry, the Cross, no matter if you were talking to him from personal issue or an ethical problem, he felt that there was the answer to all of our problems, the cross and the resurrection. And he was a strong believer. (https://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0504/02/lkl.01.html)
And then my son, Franklin, will be going to the enthronement of the new Pope.Billy Graham and his Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, with his son Franklin Graham, has been one of the chief promoters of the false unity with Rome. He continues to be exalted and respected despite the spiritual harm he has caused through that alone! People need to know the truth. IF Billy Graham was ever saved, he is now an apostate, for he turned away from Christian doctrine and practice, just like David Wilkerson did during his latter years. Along with Mother Teresa they will be known as great exemplary servants of God.
Billy Graham left this world in 2018 giving a FALSE IMPRESSION about Roman Catholicism -- a counterfeit religious system leading 1.3 billion people to hell. Even worse, the many non-Catholics don't recognize Catholicism for what it is to a large degree because of Billy Graham (and others like Pat Robertson, etc.).
Of course, Billy Graham's once saved always saved doctrine was sinister enough without his endorsements of Catholicism. Now his son, Franklin Graham, will probably follow that same lead (Mt. 15:14). IF a preacher believes in the damnable heresy of eternal security, as Billy Graham did, and he sends Catholics back to their idolatries and paganism, such will not jeopardize their salvation, based on that myth. Idolaters will remain saved, regardless what they do or believe, IF they had a mere moment of saving faith, according to that false gospel. That is VERY SAD, but also a very real problem in our day.
Already in 1966, only a year after the Second Vatican Council, Graham said, "I find myself closer to Catholics than the radical Protestants. I think the Roman Catholic Church today is going through a second Reformation." On The Phil Donahue Show in 1979, he said, "I think the American people are looking for a leader, a moral and spiritual leader that believes something. And the pope does. ...Thank God, I've got somebody to quote now with some real authority." On John Paul's visit to America in 1980: "[He] has emerged as the greatest religious leader of the modern world, and one of the greatest moral and spiritual leaders of this century. [http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2018/billy-graham/billy-graham-catholics-preacher-and-popes.html]How could Pope John Paul II be one of the greatest moral and spiritual leaders of this century just on the basis of his Mary idolatry? Can idolaters of any type be moral or a great spiritual leader? It is impossible since all idolaters will go to the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8). Billy Graham was blatantly and dangerously wrong.
Bottom line is: Billy Graham's unscriptural assessment of Pope John Paul II and Roman Catholicism have adversely affected many souls. One commendable thing about Billy Graham is, he was never involved in a sex scandal like Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker and others. Billy Graham was also a powerful speaker, who was riveting as he delivered his message. Billy Graham's race and test are over forever. For your own sake, avoid Billy Graham and his Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
