(Bible Question) I came across of the evangelical outreach and it really helps me to understand the matter of salvation better. First of all, I'm a former homosexual. God did a drastic change in my life last year. I lost my homosexual desires (and other sinful nature) right away after I prayed my repentance prayer, although I have been tempted many times to go back to sin, but by the grace of God, I have managed to overcome each temptation. My problem is, one day I got angry at God because He wanted me to ask forgiveness to a person. And I got afraid that I lost my salvation because of that. I personally believe in conditional salvation. So, I just wonder if I've done the unforgivable sin, the blaspheme of Holy Spirit. I've read many articles about that sin and I think it's not what I committed. And so far, by the grace of God, I don't fall into habitual sin and I persistently fight sin and temptation. I am also trying to spread gospel to more people because I believe the great commission is for every christian. So, judging that, I think that I am still saved, not that my deeds save me, and I did pray to God about my past anger towards Him. Although I feel like I am at peace with God now, sometimes I still wonder about it. I hope you can help me about it. Sincerely,

Regarding water baptism, please don't be misled about it. We are talking about at what point does salvation come. The Bible actually shows it comes at the point of a trusting-submitting faith in Jesus. After one gets saved, he needs to be water baptized by immersion and from another Christian. Please know the Greek word for “servant” also means “slave.” This conforms with the spiritual change which occurs at salvation when one become a new creation. At that point, he is set free from his sin addictions and becomes a slave (or servant) of righteousness. Hope that helps too.

Regarding cold dead congregations, which number in the millions, we see no essential difference between a Catholic church or some protestant church which doesn't preach the truth of the Bible. The devil is using such to draw different types into deception to get them in hell. He doesn't care if one goes to hell through the Catholic church or Baptist church, as long as they perish. Without God's truth going forth, people will not repent to find salvation, nor will Christians be strengthened by the teachings or examples. In fact just the opposite will result. Lukewarmness and cold religion is contagious, just like the opposite – godly zeal.
As strange as it may sound, we once went into an all-black church and afterwards the pastor was kind, but at the same time told us it is better for us not to return! They didn't want us there either! At the end of Servetus' life he cried out for mercy and forgiveness and wasn't acting like a Unitarian Universalist who wrongly thinks everyone will be saved because of Jesus' death and denies Jesus' deity! It appears he changed at the end, even though he is stated as being the founder of the Unitarian church.
Regardless if Servetus went to heaven or hell, one will ONLY enter God's kingdom after death if he/she is pure in heart (Mt. 5:8), which does NOT come automatically because of Jesus' death. Have you read this for Unitarians and humanity of Christ? The biblical plan of salvation is found here. If your question is referring to whether a Christian must obey the 10 Commandments to stay saved, the answer is: only 9 are repeated in the New Testament. The Saturday Sabbath command, given to Israel, is no longer binding as it was. Those who think they are observing the Saturday sabbath are only observing a MODIFIED sabbath command, which they have changed, for our modern day, which is NOT real observance to the sabbath command in the Bible!
If a Christian turns to evil he will die spiritually for it. Hence, adultery, idolatry, stealing, bearing false witness, etc. will cause loss of salvation. **NOTE: A Christian is already spiritually alive, but certain sins, which lead to spiritual death, will cause loss of salvation (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; Rom. 8:13; Gal. 6:8,9; etc.). [All sins are not of the same severity.] ...Remember:
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. (Heb 3:14)

(Bible Questions) Read the article on sin & forgiveness and how we must repent as Christians. I agree with that and don't believe that we are automatically forgiven. However, I have two questions and hope you might shed some light on them. #1. A true born again Christian sins and dies before he has the chance to ask God for forgiveness? Where would you say his salvation lies? #2. In the past a person has taken things from a work place where he no longer works. Many years have gone by and that person still has pens or stuff from the corporation he worked at. He has asked God to forgive him of his sin of stealing but still has remnants of what he stole around him. What would you suggest he does about this? I've been posed with both of these questions and not sure how to respond. So any assistance would be appreciated.
(Bible Answer) Greetings in Jesus' name. If a Christian dies after sinning where he goes depends on how severe the sin was. All sins are not the same in their effect on our souls. Some sins are greater than others (Jn. 19:11). One type is eternal (Mk. 3:29), while others are not. Another type of sin is uniquely against our bodies, while other sins are outside our bodies (1 Cor. 6:18). 1 Jn. 5:16 declares there is a sin that does not lead to death while there is a sin that leads to death. Sins such as worry (Phil. 4:6), unthankfulness (Col. 2:7, 3:15; Lk. 17:11-18) and not being completely humble and gentle (Eph. 4:2) are not included in any of the lists of sins that will send people to the lake of fire, even if they were once saved. However, other sins certainly will send any person to hell if they die unrepentant, even a person who was once saved. (See 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:5,6; Jude 7; Rev. 22:15; etc.). **ONLY the pure in heart will see God (Mt. 5:8).
If a now Christian stole things when he was serving the devil and when he was on the road to hell as a wicked person, he needs to return them, an equivalency and perhaps even more than their value! I base that on what Zacchaeus told Jesus (Lk. 19:8). Sometimes that will be impossible though. Hope this helps. God bless you.

First, if you sincerely repent of your many sins (profanity, etc.) and commit your heart to Jesus to serve and love him first you will be set free from your sin addictions, regardless what they are! We know from personal experience, as well as many others who have become a new creation by turning to God. There is nothing more important than this since your SOUL is your most valuable possession. Hence, to become a good person (a Christian) and no longer remain an evil person (Mt. 5:45) you must turn from your idols. Solid proof for God existence is found in fulfilled Bible prophecy. Such shows the Bible is divinely inspired and God's word, unlike the many counterfeits (Koran, Book of Mormon, etc.). It also proves God exists since he does know the future as shown by true prophecy and predictions. Another way we know God and Bible are real is because of changed lives, which result by acting on the Biblical message. This is real. God is alive. He has power to change a person. Before the rapture can occur, a temple must be present from which the antichrist will proclaim himself to be God (2 Thess. 2:1-4). Since it takes time to build the temple and that event won't occur until a 7 year peace agreement is also signed and violated in the middle (Dan 9:27), it is impossible for heretic Harold Camping to be correct. Besides that, it was translated using English words we are NOT acquainted with today. Hence, the KJV WILL HINDER one from understanding God's word! END OF DISCUSSION. NO KJV Only person can understand what he is reading because so many words (hundreds) have changed their meanings over the centuries.
To imply the KJV is inspired is also to imply the men who translated it from Hebrew and Greek into English were holy men (as we read about the original writers of the Scriptures). Such is impossible since one was a KNOWN DRUNKARD, who was never removed from the translating committee. Please do NOT be duped by the divisive and nonsensical KJV Onlyites. They are misled and many are beyond correction to their own harm. Get a translation you can read and understand and learn the message. Change accordingly. This is a heaven or hell issue.
