Peter (whom the Catholics claim was the first pope) wrote two books of the Bible, and though he covered multiple main areas of Christianity, NOT ONCE did Peter ever mention Mary, not even by inference, FOR ANYTHING. In his books, the apostle Peter specifically wrote on the following matters:
(1 Peter) The apostle Peter wrote on:
- grace (1 Pet 1:2; 1:13);
- the new birth and the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Pet 1:3);
- heaven (1 Pet 1:4);
- faith, being shielded by God's power and salvation (1 Pet 1:5);
- suffering grief in all kinds of trials (1 Pet 1:6);
- the goal of our faith, the salvation of your souls (1 Pet 1:9);
- God's prophets (1 Pet 1:10);
- the gospel (1 Pet 1:12);
- evil desires (1 Pet 1:14);
- holiness (1 Pet 1:15,16);
- prayer to the Father (1 Pet 1:17);
- redemption by Jesus' blood (1 Pet 1:18,19);
- Christian love (1 Pet 1:22);
- born again through the living and enduring word of God (1 Pet 1:23);
- the word of the Lord is forever standing and his word was preached to them (1 Pet 1:25);
- sin (1 Pet 2:1);
- how newborn babies in Christ may grow (1 Pet 2:2);
- Jesus, the living Stone (1 Pet 2:4);
- the universal priesthood of believers (1 Pet 2:5);
- Jesus is to be the focus of our faith (1 Pet 2:6);
- our praises to God (1 Pet 2:9);
- before and after receiving God's mercy (1 Pet 2:10);
- the spiritual war against our soul (1 Pet 2:11);
- live among pagans and having observable good deeds (1 Pet 2:12);
- submit to the authorities instituted among men (1 Pet 2:13,14);
- live as servants of God (1 Pet 2:16);
- show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king (1 Pet 2:17);
- slaves and the pain of unjust suffering because of being conscious of God (1 Pet 2:18-20);
- Christ, the example (1 Pet 2:21-23);
- Jesus was sinless (1 Pet 2:22);
- Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the cross (1 Pet 2:24);
- Wives (1 Pet 3:1-6);
- Husbands (1 Pet 3:7);
- everyone (1 Pet 3:8-11);
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil (1 Pet 3:12);
- if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened." (1 Pet 3:14);
- set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect (1 Pet 3:15);
- keep a clear conscience (1 Pet 3:16);
- one sacrifice for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit (1 Pet 3:18);

- Jesus is at God's right hand - with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him (1 Pet 3:22);
- arm yourselves with the attitude of Christ, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin (1 Pet 4:1,2);
- the life of the lost (1 Pet 4:3);
- the separated life of a Christian (1 Pet 4:4);
- two types of people - the living and the dead (1 Pet 4:5,6);
- the end of all things is near, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray (1 Pet 4:7);
- love each other deeply (1 Pet 4:8);
- offer hospitality without grumbling (1 Pet 4:9);
- use whatever gift you received to serve others (1 Pet 4:10);
- speakers should speak as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides (1 Pet 4:11);
- painful trials for Christians are not something strange (1 Pet 4:12);
- rejoice in your painful trials - that you participate in the sufferings of Christ (1 Pet 4:13);
- insults because of the name of Christ show you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you (1 Pet 4:14);
- unrighteous and sinful suffering (1 Pet 4:15);
- righteous suffering as a Christian - do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name (1 Pet 4:16);

- young men (1 Pet 5:5);
- humble yourselves (1 Pet 5:6);
- Cast all your anxiety on God (1 Pet 5:7);

Peter knew the real Mary
Peter knew
the real Mary of the Bible and her spiritual importance. Her non-importance is reflected in his epistles with his loud and deafening silence about Mary. NOTE:
His divine power has given us EVERYTHING we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Pet 1:3)
"EVERYTHING" for life and godliness has been given, yet Mary is not included. Her NON-importance is clear. (Such nullifies the Catholic counter - the 'argument from silence'.)
Peter's Holy Spirit inspired dogma is massively different from the fantasy Catholic Mary (mariology) portrayed as the sinless, sovereign 'queen of heaven and earth,' the mother of the church, the mediatrix and dispenser of ALL grace, the refuge of sinners, 'our life, sweetness and hope,' to whom we are to pray TO, even at the hour of our death, give devotions and consecration to, etc. Catholicism has also granted more names and titles for their Mary than God's word has for the Lord Jesus. Be assured, such a woman like that does NOT exist anywhere in God's word.
It is to be noted that when Peter mentioned the sinlessness of Jesus (1 Pet. 2:22), Mary was not included in that unique attribute. Additionally, twice Peter described who was blessed (1 Pet. 3:14; 4:14), and neither time did he include Mary or exalt her. Hence, Mary's giving birth to Jesus did not warrant special consideration, further demonstrating the error of the woman in Luke 11:27,28, whom Jesus publicly rebuked for exalting his mother that way. Moreover, the error of the woman of Luke 11 exemplifies that same common Catholic error of our day.
Similarly, Paul wrote one half of the New Testament books and mentioned every subject related to Christianity, yet only referred to Mary in this passing tertiary way:
"But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, BORN OF A WOMAN, born under law, " (Gal 4:4)
QUESTION: Do YOU love God's truth? Which Mary do you think existed: the one portrayed in scripture OR the the Catholic Mary?
As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you." He replied, "Blessed RATHER are those who hear the word of God and obey it." (Luke 11:27,28)
