Furthermore, the parables frequently refute eternal security, further demonstrating that the proponents of such are lost, as they do not have eyes to see that the true gospel, or plan of salvation, has a CONDITIONAL SECURITY attached to it. The saints must continue following Jesus and remaining in him for final salvation (Rev. 2:10,11 cf. 1 Cor. 15:2; 1 Jn. 2:24-26; etc.).
ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (2 Tim. 3:16 NKJV)Another verse relevant to the importance of doctrine, including the doctrine of the parables, is:

Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, THE REDEMPTION OF OUR BODIES. (Rom. 8:23)The Christian's body will get redeemed at the POST trib rapture, that is, it will be changed into a tangible and immortal body of flesh, like the one the Lord Jesus has now (Lk. 24:39; Phil. 3:21). Because OUR BODY IS NOT YET REDEEMED, we get sick, afflicted and injured, and we die.
On a side note, especially relevant at this late hour: the MYSTERY of the rapture (1 Cor.15:51) relates to our new glorified, resurrection body which will occur at the rapture. The mystery does not mean that the rapture itself will be a secret, unseen, "where-did-everybody-go?" event, as the pre-trib, any-moment rapture proponents wrongly claim. We know that the post tribulation rapture will not be a "mysterious" secret event because every eye will see him. (Rev. 1:7; Mt. 24:30; Lk, 21:27; Mk. 13:26; Dan. 7:13)

The church at Ephesus was described by the Lord Jesus in the following way:
I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. (Rev. 2:2,3)That description was more favorable than Thyatira's initially. Then, we read this rebuke:
Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Rev. 2:4-6)
(NOTE: Jesus is in heaven, yet "HATES" certain practices. It is not wrong to HATE ungodly things and practices. We are to HATE SIN and FALSEHOOD.)
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. (Rom. 12:9)
