But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness
of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.
I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law,
but that which is through faith in Christ - the righteousness that comes from God
and is by faith. (Phil 3:7-9)

If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven--if there was anything to forgive--I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, IN ORDER THAT SATAN MIGHT NOT OUTWIT US. FOR WE ARE NOT UNAWARE OF HIS SCHEMES. (2 Cor. 2:10-11)Our spiritual battle is like a military war in the natural where one side (the enemy) is trying to outwit the other side. NOTE:
and avoid every kind of evil. (2 Thess. 5:22)On a side note, the above passage, from 2 Corinthians, not only demonstrates the slipperiness and persistence of the devil, but it also demonstrates the importance of not being in unforgiveness. Forgiving others is nothing less than a salvation issue (Mt. 6:14,15).

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. (Rev 6:6, KJV)It says for a mere "penny" you can get a "measure" of wheat and 3 "measures" of barley, but what is a "measure"? Whatever it is, it says for a mere "penny" you can have such! In reality, that verse in the KJV projects a concept, which is THE OPPOSITE of God's truth - a LIE!
The Greek term translated "penny" in the KJV is used for a day's wage elsewhere (Mt. 20:2). This translation is much more accurate:
Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" (Rev 6:6, NIV)That verse teaches food scarcity and hyperinflation, not the opposite as suggested in the KJV. Do not be deceived by the KJV.
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. (Mat 24:6)
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psa 139:23,24)
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God--I say this to your shame. (1 Cor 15:34)
At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For AS LIGHTNING THAT COMES FROM THE EAST IS VISIBLE EVEN IN THE WEST, SO WILL BE THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN. (Mat. 24:23-27)
At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will MOURN. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Mat. 24:30-31)**The only ones who will be "mourning" when he brightly appears in the sky will be his enemies - the children of the devil, because they will know they are in serious trouble.

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. (Heb. 11:7, KJV)
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. (1 Pet. 3:20, KJV)[BTW: It should be translated, "saved THROUGH water".]
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; (2 Pet. 2:5, KJV)On a side note: these passages demonstrate just how FEW, compared to overall humanity, will be saved, speaking of final salvation - that is, making an actual entrance into the kingdom doors at physical death.
Because narrow is the gate and DIFFICULT is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Mt. 7:14, NKJV)However, despite there being few who find the "gate" (final salvation or entrance to paradise), Revelation 7:9 states that a great multitude that no eye can count, from every tribe, language, and nation, will enter the kingdom doors from just the last generation of the anti-Christ (Rev. 7:9). So, hold on, be encouraged, and remember Revelation 12:11.

On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. (Rev. 22:1,2)

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But STORE UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN HEAVEN, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal" (Mt. 6:19,20).It is a mystery as to what those inexhaustible treasures will be used for. On the other end of the spectrum, is the rich fool who stored up wealth, and said to himself "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." (Luke 12:19) He was on the verge of death and didn't know it, maybe like some reading this.
BTW, a similar atheistic-type philosophy is cited in 1 Cor. 15:32, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die", and such is often the attitude and goal of the unsaved, as they travel the broad and easy road that leads to destruction - thinking only of this temporal earthly life now.

but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. (James 1:14-16)KEEP YOUR MIND ON GOD'S WILL AS STATED IN SCRIPTURE. The devil will attack your mind with the full gamut of thoughts from anxiety to fear to confusion to outright, obvious wickedness hoping you take the 'bait' (his temptations) and are affected. RESIST his scheming thoughts, even the fear of physical death:
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; (Rom. 8:5-6)
Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation - but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will DIE; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, (Rom. 8:12,13)
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Gal. 6:7-9)

You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. (Rom. 8:9)
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. (Gal 5:24)
"He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. THE SAINTS WILL BE HANDED OVER TO HIM FOR A TIME, TIMES AND HALF A TIME. But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever." (Dan 7:23-26)
"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised." In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing. (Job 1:21,22)
you hate the one who reproves in court and despise him who tells the truth. (Amos 5:10)
If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. (James 1:26)

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times. (Micah 5:2)This is how that prophecy was fulfilled - in a non-obvious way:
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.... (Luke 2:1-7)Jesus was raised in Nazareth (and known, therefore, by some as "Jesus of Nazareth"). Some wrongly thought he couldn't be Messiah, based on their own error that he was born there too, as shown here:
Others said, "He is the Christ." Still others asked, "How can the Christ come from Galilee? Does not the Scripture say that the Christ will come from David's family and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?" (John 7:41,42)

If you turn away from following him, he will again leave all this people in the desert, and you will be the cause of their destruction." Then they came up to him and said, "We would like to build pens here for our livestock and cities for our women and children. But we are ready to arm ourselves and go ahead of the Israelites until we have brought them to their place. Meanwhile our women and children will live in fortified cities, for protection from the inhabitants of the land. We will not return to our homes until every Israelite has received his inheritance. We will not receive any inheritance with them on the other side of the Jordan, because our inheritance has come to us on the east side of the Jordan." Then Moses said to them, "If you will do this--if you will arm yourselves before the LORD for battle, and if all of you will go armed over the Jordan before the LORD until he has driven his enemies out before him-- then when the land is subdued before the LORD, you may return and be free from your obligation to the LORD and to Israel. And this land will be your possession before the LORD. But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the LORD; and you may be sure that YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT." (Num. 32:15-23)That message was spoken to the Gadites and the Reubenites (Num. 32:6).

Moreover, Jesus said, "Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. DANGER: Part of the pre trib rapture MYTH is that the idea that saints will be taken away before the mark of the beast (MOTB) arrives, and, therefore, they will never see it. That is NOT true. Such misled proponents will not be looking for the MOTB, and, as a consequence, they are wide-open for lethal deception.
Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and GOD THE FATHER, WHO RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD-- (Gal. 1:1)
Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I WILL RAISE IT AGAIN in three days." The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?" But THE TEMPLE HE HAD SPOKEN OF WAS HIS BODY. (John 2:19-21)
And if THE SPIRIT OF HIM WHO RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. (Rom. 8:11)Finally, GOD raised Jesus from the death:
You killed the author of life, but GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD. We are witnesses of this. (Acts 3:15)All those scriptures fit perfectly with the Trinity doctrine and only that doctrine. The Jehovah's Witnesses can NOT deal with these truths.

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (1 Tim. 4:16)Conclusion: People's behavior reflects what they believe - what they accept as truth. To say that doctrine does not matter is like saying truth does not matter. Also, note Jesus' words here:
Everyone on the side of truth listens to me. (Jn. 18:37)

Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, " YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD!" But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because THEY KNEW HE WAS THE CHRIST. (Luke 4:41)
Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God." But he gave them strict orders not to tell who he was. (Mark 3:11,12)DEMONS KNEW Jesus is the Christ unlike many people even in our day now. They knew of the pre-incarnated Jesus, then called - the "Word" (Jn. 1:1). The TIMING of the revealing of that truth - Jesus is the Son of God, was important. It was guarded truth. At his trial Jesus confessed it and after Jesus ascended his followers openly preached it:
At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. (Acts 9:20)

The Queen of the South will RISE AT THE JUDGMENT WITH THIS GENERATION AND CONDEMN IT; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here. (Mat. 12:41,42)Ponder those verses. They are very stirring - showing that part of the condemning evidence cited against the wicked will be from people who had less of an opportunity, yet still repented and listened to God's word. While the wicked will face the certainty of judgment day, the Christian will also face a judgment day.

The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." (Mark 10:24-25)Read about the rich young ruler. IT IS NOTEWORTHY THAT EVEN THOUGH JESUS LOVED HIM (Mark 10:21,22), HE REMAINED WITHOUT SALVATION.
For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life, keeping you from the immoral woman, from the smooth tongue of the wayward wife. Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes, for the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the adulteress preys upon your very life. (Prov. 6:23-26)

God's faithful children will be spared from God's wrath, but they will have to endure the Tribulation, which is the devil's wrath or fury (Rev. 12:12); it is our test. Revelation is not in chronological order at times, and many people are confusing the wrath of God with the preceding Tribulation period. (It has been the pre trib rapture teachers who have WRONGLY argued that the tribulation is the wrath of God.)
BTW- the resurrection of the wicked is to the lake of fire, which occurs at the Great White Throne Judgment of the wicked, and THAT event occurs after the 1000 year reign of Christ (Rev. 20:11-15).

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. Seal #4 mentions DEATH BY sword, famine, plague and wild beasts:
I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. (Rev. 6:8)Note the similarity in Jeremiah's day:
Then the LORD said to me: "Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go! And if they ask you, 'Where shall we go?' tell them, 'This is what the LORD says: "'Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.' "I will send four kinds of destroyers against them," declares the LORD, "the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy. (Jer. 15:1-3)Note also that Mark 13 and Luke 21 (as well as Matthew 24) line up with Revelation chapter 6.
There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. (Luke 21:11)That verse, in part, resonates with seal 4 and also seal 6.
HOLY LIVING and faithfulness to God is not a works salvation, but instead LOVE OF GOD.
...He [Moses] chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. (Heb 11:25)
This is what the LORD says-- your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, who HAS MADE ALL THINGS, who ALONE stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth BY MYSELF, (Isa. 44:24)**Jehovah's Witnesses have been wrongly indoctrinated to think God created everything through his first-created Jesus, which would be two and would NOT align with the "ALONE" and "BY MYSELF" of that verse. Here's the truth to remember:
For by him [JESUS] all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM AND FOR HIM. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Col. 1:16-17)_________________________________
"It was seen, also, that while the sin offering pointed to Christ as a sacrifice, and the high priest represented Christ as a mediator, the scapegoat typified Satan, the author of sin, upon whom the sins of the truly penitent will finally be placed. When the high priest, by virtue of the blood of the sin offering, removed the sins from the sanctuary, he placed them upon the scapegoat. When Christ, by virtue of His own blood, removes the sins of His people from the heavenly sanctuary at the close of his ministration, he will place them upon Satan, who, in the execution of the judgment, must bear the final penalty. The scapegoat was sent away into a land not inhabited, never to come again into the congregation of Israel. So will Satan be forever banished from the presence of God and His people, and he will be blotted from existence in the final destruction of sin and sinners (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 422).
Satan bore not only the weight and punishment of his own sins, but also of the sins of the redeemed host, which had been placed upon him.... "(Ellen G. White, Early Writings, p. 294,295).
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him [Jesus] the iniquity of us all (Isa. 53:6).
God made him [Jesus] who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21).
He [Jesus] himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed (1 Pet. 2:24).

"If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For IT IS WRITTEN: 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' " Jesus answered him, "IT IS ALSO WRITTEN: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' " (Mat. 4:6,7)Scripture can be misused and handled LIKE A DEADLY WEAPON. BE GUARDED for false prophets (Mt. 24:11; etc.) and false teachers (2 Pet. 2:1) are among us. Do NOT be gullible (1 Jn. 4:1).
