Q. If you teach that holiness is a REQUIREMENT for salvation and not just the necessary fruit or evidence of it, when does a person pass from death into life? At what point?BIBLE ANSWER: A person passes from death to life INSTANTLY at the point of repentance (turning from evil), that is, at the point of getting 'born again'. Salvation includes a trusting/submitting faith in the Lord Jesus to follow him unashamedly here and now - a faith that OBEYS (Heb. 5:9).
Q. And how do you understand salvation by faith and not by works, as stated clearly in Ephesians 2?BIBLE ANSWER: **A saving faith (or a living faith) in Jesus is a faith that OBEYS him. One's faith can get stronger or weaker and even become destroyed and shipwrecked. Jesus taught a CONTINUOUS TENSE BELIEF (OBEDIENT FAITH) FOR SALVATION in John 3:16; etc.
NOTE John 3:36:
The one who BELIEVES IN the Son has eternal life; but the one who DOES NOT OBEY the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (NASB).
James 2 mentions a "DEAD" faith, which is one devoid of works. Connecting the dots between these 2 points, we can conclude that one is saved by a SUBMISSIVE FAITH IN JESUS. Such a LIVING faith has works attached to it, unlike a dead faith, which James likened unto a faith of demons, who also know who Jesus is (Acts 19:15 cf. Mt. 8:29). Jesus said:
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Mat. 7:21)
Q. Is not this a works based salvation, which will enable us to boast that we were holy enough by our own effort?BIBLE ANSWER: **No. "WORKS", according to Paul's writings, is NOT referring to obedience to God. Paul stressed OBEDIENCE by his example and teachings (Titus 3:8; etc.), but opposed (others) trying to be justified by the [ceremonial, dietary, Mosaic] law rather than by FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS (Acts 10:43; 15:11; Gal. 3:26; 5:2-4; etc.). However, we are bound under the moral law - no theft, lying, sexual immorality, murder, greed, etc. (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; Rev. 21:8; etc.).
"Works" is what the false circumcision group taught for salvation, which is not saving grace (Rom. 11:6). Paul refuted their belief of trying to be justified by the law with the book of Galatians. Remember:
But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; (1 Pet. 1:15)
Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit
from the LORD tormented him. (1 Sam 16:14)
IF you have ever eaten Ezekiel 4:9 bread, that is the very same substance that Ezekiel ate, along with the water, that sustained him as he laid on both of his sides, as stated in that same chapter.

But THE MAN WHO LOVES GOD is known by God. (1 Cor. 8:3)
But now that you know God - or rather are known by God - how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? (Gal. 4:9)**We show our love for God by obeying him, but it is possible to NOT be known by God when Jesus returns! We must endure to the end to be saved (Matt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11).
But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.' (Mat. 25:12)

The WOMAN fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be TAKEN CARE OF FOR 1,260 DAYS. (Rev. 12:6)
The WOMAN was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be TAKEN CARE OF FOR A TIME, TIMES AND HALF A TIME, out of the serpent's reach. (Rev. 12:14)A comparison of those verses solves the mystery of what "a time, times and half a time" is. It is 1,260 days or 3 1/2 years with 360 days being equal to 1 year.
I PRAY ALSO THAT THE EYES OF YOUR HEART MAY BE ENLIGHTENED in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, FAR ABOVE all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. (Eph 1:18-21)
Anyone, then, who KNOWS THE GOOD HE OUGHT TO DO AND DOESN'T DO IT, sins. (James 4:17)PONDER THAT VERSE and your life. **Have YOU been sinning that way?

You probably know about the parting of the Red Sea when the Israelites crossed over, but do you know about this similar miracle elsewhere on a smaller scale:
Now THE JORDAN IS AT FLOOD STAGE all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water's edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea ) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho. The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD STOOD FIRM ON DRY GROUND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE JORDAN, WHILE ALL ISRAEL PASSED BY UNTIL THE WHOLE NATION HAD COMPLETED THE CROSSING ON DRY GROUND. (Josh. 3:15-17)

James 2:14-26 is about the 2 types of FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS. Specifically, a "DEAD" faith - one that does not save from hell - is identified as a faith devoid of works (deeds), as stated in James 2:17; 2:26. Conversely, without mentioning unequivocally a "LIVING or SAVING" faith in the Lord Jesus, we can thereby accurately deduce such as being the opposite of a "DEAD" faith with is identified as having no deeds. Hence, a saving faith in the Lord Jesus has works with it. **Moreover, such a saving submissive faith has good works with it, WHICH PEOPLE CAN SEE (James 2:18).
Caution: The faith that saves is a FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST 100%, which excludes a partial faith in Mary, an association with any religious group, or faith in any good works, etc. for salvation. It takes a SUBMISSIVE FAITH IN JESUS, which brings forth good fruit, LIVES HOLY and ENDURES; THAT type of faith is the only kind that saves. One must die PURE IN HEART in order to see God (Mt. 5:8; Heb. 12:14; Rev. 21:27).
SINS DRAGS PEOPLE TO "the fiery furnace":
The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mat 13:41,42)
Agabus is the best known NT prophet, as revealed in Acts (11:28; 21:10), but did you know that there were other prophets too?
Judas and Silas, who themselves were PROPHETS, said much to encourage and strengthen the brothers. (Acts 15:32)(That same Silas traveled with Paul on his second missionary trip.) The "two witnesses" of Rev. 11:3 are also called "two prophets" (Rev. 11:10).
NOTE: that is not to assume that there are not FALSE PROPHETS today. They are ravenous wolves in sheep's clothing and there are MANY of them and they will DECEIVE MANY!!!!
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? (Mat 7:15,16)
and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. (Mat 24:11)

MONEY will become a MAJOR FOCUS in the days to come, even to the extreme point of being UNABLE to "buy or sell" without participating in their enslaving agenda via the mark of the beast (Rev. 13:16,17). That acquiescence to the subjugation in order to "survive" is also a "badge of servitude" to the beast.
Serious and costly FOOD shortages are also on the horizon, but the massive PHYSICAL DEATHS in the forecast will be unprecedented, as shown in Seal #4 (Rev. 6:7,8).
We are in the GREAT TRIBULATION, which also means this cursed age is finally coming to an end, which should EXCITE the righteous. THRILLING and WONDERFULLY ENCOURAGING times are ahead for those who are "worthy" to enter God's kingdom - those who PATIENTLY ENDURE and remain FAITHFUL TO JESUS. HOLD ON, family. We are almost "home" with Jesus.

Supply him liberally from your flock, your threshing floor and your winepress. Give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you. Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today. BUT IF YOUR SERVANT SAYS TO YOU, "I DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE YOU," BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU and your family and is well off with you, then TAKE AN AWL AND PUSH IT THROUGH HIS EAR LOBE INTO THE DOOR, AND HE WILL BECOME YOUR SERVANT FOR LIFE. Do the same for your maidservant. (Deut. 15:12-17)Paul, Epaphras, James, Jude and Moses are specifically referred to as slaves of God (or 'servants'), but that does not mean that others like Peter, John, Stephen, Philip, Silas, Timothy, etc. were not also servants of God.
ALL Christians are also slaves of God (Rom. 6:22) and slaves of righteousness (Rom. 6:18), being BOUGHT BY JESUS' BLOOD (that is, redeemed) - Acts 20:28; 1 Pet. 1:18-19. We were also set free from our sin addictions (Rom. 6:18; 6:22). THANK YOU PRECIOUS LORD JESUS.

***NOTE: "ETERNAL LIFE" is NOT conscious existence forever after physical death because even the wicked dead will have that in eternal fire in their torment and agony (Mt. 25:46; Rev. 19:20; Lk. 16:24-28; etc.).
ETERNAL LIFE is only what Christians now have because they alone have King JESUS (1 Jn. 5:11,12) via REPENTANCE and a SUBMISSIVE FAITH IN HIM (Acts 20:21; Heb. 5:9; Lk. 8:21; Mt. 7:21; etc.). ETERNAL LIFE means our spirit is ALIVE (Rom. 8:10) because of JESUS, our personal Lord and Savior.
We were DEAD in transgressions and sin (Eph. 2:1), with the wrath of God abiding upon us (Jn. 3:36), but we became spiritually ALIVE at the point of getting "born again" (Jn. 3:3; 3:7), at which point we were set freed from our sin addictions (Rom. 6:18; 6:22) and received ETERNAL LIFE (JESUS) - 1 John 1:2.
...I [JESUS] am sending you [Paul] to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by FAITH IN ME. (Acts 26:17,18)
... Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (Mat. 25:41)**The possession of eternal life can cease to exist and will for 1 out of 2 Christians in the last generation (Mt. 25:1-12). You must endure to the end to enter Paradise (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11; Gal. 6:8,9). See also Lk. 13:23,24 and Rev. 12:11.

Complaining is a spiritual symptom that shows the devils' attacks are working to some degree as he tries to "devour" YOU. Remember this:
Now the people COMPLAINED about their hardships in the hearing of the LORD, and when he heard them his anger was aroused. Then fire from the LORD burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp. When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed to the LORD and the fire died down. So that place was called Taberah, because fire from the LORD had burned among them. The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, "If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost--also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!" (Num. 11:1-6)The same crowd wanted to return to Egypt!
**IF you have Jesus, BE THANKFUL and REJOICE. We are in the GREAT TRIBULATION. NO ONE has it ideal now. Think BIG picture with ETERNITY in mind:
Do everything WITHOUT COMPLAINING or arguing (Phil. 2:14).

Good "works" (or "deeds") reveal a saving faith in the Lord Jesus, that is, IF such a person has his faith in the Lord Jesus. Remember Cornelius who needed to hear Peter preach this in order to get saved, even though he was: pious, God-fearing, generous to those in need and prayed to God regularly (Acts 10:2):
All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him [JESUS] receives forgiveness of sins through his name. (Acts 10:43)
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? (James 2:14)
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus TO DO GOOD WORKS, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Eph. 2:8-10)**The same Greek word for "deeds" or "works" is found in Eph. 2:9; James 2:14; 2:26. Consider also FRUIT or FIRE.

Philip was also the only person in the NT who was translated from one location to another (Acts 8:39,40). (Elijah was likewise translated in the OT - 1 Kings 18:12; 2 Kings 2:1-11.)

**The Bible teaches INSTANT SALVATION (Lk. 19:9; Eph. 2:5; 2 Tim. 1:9; Titus 3:5) and ETERNAL LIFE now (Jn. 6:47; 1 Jn. 5:12) for the true believers in the Lord Jesus. Nonetheless, FINAL SALVATION is an actual entrance into the Kingdom doors that occurs for the Christian when our spirit departs from our body, which marks the end of our race and time of testing (Acts 20:24; 1 Cor. 9:24; Gal.5:7; 2 Tim. 4:7; Heb. 12:1; James 1:12).
The Christian life is HARD (Mt. 7:14). Many fall away (Mt. 24:10). To ENTER God's kingdom after death a Christian must ENDURE TO THE END TO BE SAVED (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11; Gal. 6:8,9). For for more details concerning initial and final salvation, refer to the following link:
A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." This calls for patient endurance on the part of the SAINTS who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus. (Rev 14:9-12)
Some wonder: How could the governments of the world, the health systems, etc. all be working in unity for this great EVIL reset? The answer is very clear:...The dragon [the devil - Rev. 12:9] gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. (Rev 13:2)
Love is patient, love is kind. It does NOT envy, it does NOT boast, it is NOT proud. It is NOT rude, it is NOT self-seeking, it is NOT easily angered, it keeps NO record of wrongs. Love does NOT delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. (1 Cor. 13:4-6)

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is ONE. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (Deut. 6:4,5)Sadly, people who reject the deity of Christ sometimes quote the above passage in their denial not realizing that the Hebrew term translated "ONE" in v. 4 is "echad" and that word can be accurately understood to mean COMPOUND UNITY. Two such examples are where the same Hebrew word is found are:
Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with ONE cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs. (Num. 13:23)
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become ONE flesh. (Gen. 2:24)**Without question, Jesus is DEITY, but not the person of the Father . In fact, the "king of the Jews" is YHWH (Isa. 44:6) and that is who Jesus said he was (Mt. 27:11). Jesus is also our redeemer (Gal. 3:13,14) and the first and last (Rev. 1:17).
This is what the LORD says - Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. (Isa 44:6)Considering those truths should resolve any doubt, but here is MUCH MORE. No wonder the apostle Thomas called him "GOD" (Jn. 20:28) and his apostles "WORSHIPED" him (Mt. 14:33; 28:9; 28:17; etc.). In fact, Jesus receives equal praise and worship with the Father in heaven (Rev. 5:12-14). **IF you refuse to give Jesus that kind of praise and worship now, WHY should you think you will ever make heaven and be like them?
To focus on a single passage like Deut. 6:4-5 can lead to lethal misunderstanding. We need to focus on other scriptures, especially in the New Testament, in order to see a much clearer picture and get a fuller understanding.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to FLEE FROM THE COMING WRATH? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." (Mat. 3:7,8)The context is the coming wrath of God because of sin. The remedy is repentance (turning away from evil). We often hear of the coming of the Lord, but THE WRATH OF GOD IS COMING TOO. AFTER the POST TRIBULATION RAPTURE the wrath of God will come:
I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For THE GREAT DAY OF THEIR WRATH HAS COME, and who can stand?" (Rev. 6:12-17)
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead - Jesus, who RESCUES US FROM THE COMING WRATH. (1 Thess. 1:10)BTW, the Great Tribulation [which can also mean " Great Persecution" or " Great Distress" of those Days (Mark 13:24-27)] is NOT the wrath of God as the Pre-Trib Rapture proponents claim; it is the anger/wrath of the devil, and it is a test for us.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! HE IS FILLED WITH FURY [or "WRATH"], because he knows that his time is short. (Rev 12:12)
Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:36)That prayer is to escape the wrath of God coming AFTER the Great Tribulation.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be HONOR AND GLORY for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Tim. 1:17)Jesus is given a DOUBLE DOSE of that same "HONOR AND GLORY" in heaven. First, King Jesus alone is given HONOR AND GLORY and more, then again with the Father, he gets another dose, for the second time:
In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and HONOR AND GLORY and praise!" Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and HONOR AND GLORY and power, for ever and ever!" The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and WORSHIPED. (Rev. 5:12-14)**IF YOU aren't praising and worshiping Jesus equally with the father, as they do in heaven, WHY do you think you will ever get there? They are right and you are wrong, if that is the case. NOW is the time to change.
All I have is yours, and ALL YOU HAVE IS MINE .... (John 17:10)
What I mean, brothers, is that THE TIME IS SHORT. From now on THOSE WHO HAVE WIVES SHOULD LIVE AS IF THEY HAD NONE; those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; THOSE WHO BUY SOMETHING, AS IF IT WERE NOT THEIRS TO KEEP; those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away. (1 Cor 7:29-31)
But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. (1 Cor 5:11)
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? (James 2:14)

**NOTE: To "believe" on Jesus does not include baptism; they are different and occur at different times. One believes on Jesus (which includes REPENTANCE); THEN, afterwards gets baptized ASAP as a pledge of a good conscience (1 Pet. 3:21).
Since we are saved at the point of a trusting submitting faith in the Lord Jesus (which includes REPENTANCE), we are consequently saved BEFORE baptism, just as Cornelius was (Acts 10:43-48). One example of the difference between a saving faith and baptism is the following:
Crispus, the synagogue ruler, and his entire household believed in the Lord; and many of the Corinthians who heard him believed and were baptized. (Acts 18:8)FIRST, they believed in the Lord, THEN, afterwards, they were water baptized. Again, baptism is NOT part of believing in the Lord and one is forgiven without baptism.

(2 Tim. 3:16,17)**The "MAN OF GOD" is thoroughly equipped for every good work with scripture alone. Does that Christian truth disqualify YOU from being a MAN OF GOD? Also, Timothy was the ONLY person specifically called a MAN OF GOD in the NT (1 Tim. 6:11; 2 Tim. 3:17). He was not a prophet, as the men of God often were in the OT.

Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, "Woman, WHY ARE YOU CRYING?" "They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. "Woman," he said, "WHY ARE YOU CRYING? Who is it you are looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him." Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher). Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' " (John 20:10-17)**It seems Jesus revealed himself early to Mary to stop her from crying (suffering emotional pain)! It also seems Jesus raised from the dead the widow of Nain's son due to the mother's weeping (grief):
WHEN THE LORD SAW HER, HIS HEART WENT OUT TO HER AND HE SAID, "DON'T CRY." Then he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. (Luke 7:13-15)JESUS IS COMPASSIONATE. He also healed people and fed the crowds who followed him out of compassion, but this time HE SHOWED HIS COMPASSION BY TEACHING MANY THINGS:
When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, HE HAD COMPASSION ON THEM, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. SO HE BEGAN TEACHING THEM MANY THINGS. (Mark 6:34)Such compassion is another wonderful characteristic of the PRECIOUS King and Lord Jesus. God will wipe away all our tears one day!
HOLD ON, dear family. This dark tunnel will get darker, BUT it is only TEMPORARY.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? RUN IN SUCH A WAY AS TO GET THE PRIZE. (1 Cor. 9:24)Such a "runner" has his future in mind, as he exerts himself for the prize. We learn more about that truth exemplified in Paul's life right here:
Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God - even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I AM NOT SEEKING MY OWN GOOD BUT THE GOOD OF MANY, SO THAT THEY MAY BE SAVED. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. (1 Cor. 10:32-11:1)
**Do YOU need to make some MAJOR changes in your life in order to run a better "race"? NOW is the time.

This is how we KNOW who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:10)
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but ONLY he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Mat. 7:21)
They claim to know God, but BY THEIR ACTIONS THEY DENY HIM. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (Titus 1:16)
We KNOW that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:3,4)
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU WITH EMPTY WORDS, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. (Eph. 5:5-7)
Those still believing in the FALSE HOPE of a pre trib rapture are open to receive the mark of the beast as they are thinking it will come after the rapture. The rapture is POST trib and the mark of the beast is VERY CLOSE.
They brought them before the magistrates and said, "These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice." The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten. After they had been SEVERELY FLOGGED, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. Upon receiving such orders, he put them in the INNER CELL AND FASTENED THEIR FEET IN THE STOCKS. About midnight Paul and Silas were PRAYING AND SINGING HYMNS TO GOD, and the other prisoners were listening to them. (Acts 16:20-25)**When you do good deeds and SUFFER for them, don't allow the devil to use that suffering to discourage you. Remember Paul and Silas in prison PRAYING AND SINGING HYMNS TO GOD after suffering for their good deed. That, in part, is how you FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT. This is a "TEST". HOLD FIRM.
**Also, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns "TO God" - not Mary, an angel or a Catholic canonized saint. GO BY THE BIBLE, ESPECIALLY THE NEW TESTAMENT TO HAVE 100% TRUTH.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mat 5:10-12)

To be put out of the synagogue in New Testament times was a dreaded thought; yet, that was part of the price people paid to openly confess their faith in Jesus:
His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for already the Jews had decided that ANYONE WHO ACKNOWLEDGED THAT JESUS WAS THE CHRIST WOULD BE PUT OUT OF THE SYNAGOGUE. (John 9:22)
Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they WOULD NOT CONFESS THEIR FAITH FOR FEAR THEY WOULD BE PUT OUT OF THE SYNAGOGUE; for they loved praise from men more than praise from God. (John 12:42,43)
In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:33)

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel WITHOUT BEING FRIGHTENED IN ANY WAY BY THOSE WHO OPPOSE YOU. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved--and that by God. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, (Phil. 1:27-29)

Often when people were anointed for a job or position for the Lord, they were anointed with oil, but that was not the case with Elisha!
So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and THREW HIS CLOAK AROUND HIM. (1 Ki 19:19)According to 1 Kings 19:16, that act was the anointing.

GUARD YOUR WORDS. Do NOT use words like: gosh, darn, dang, or other euphemisms. Do NOT use God's name in surprise as an exclamation OR if someone sneezes. Do not misuse God's name or use any euphemisms.
I consider that our present sufferings are NOT worth comparing with
the glory that will be revealed in us. (Rom 8:18)
We ought therefore to show hospitality to such men [Christian missionaries] so that we may work together for the truth. I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will have nothing to do with us. So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, gossiping maliciously about us. Not satisfied with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church. (3 John 8-10)
While evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Tim 3:13)

SELF-DENIAL is shown here by Paul, the greatest example of a Christian who ever lived:
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I DESIRE TO DEPART AND BE WITH CHRIST, WHICH IS BETTER BY FAR; BUT IT IS MORE NECESSARY FOR YOU THAT I REMAIN IN THE BODY. CONVINCED OF THIS, I KNOW THAT I WILL REMAIN, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, (Phil. 1:21-25)

"Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him: "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.' " (2 Kings 20:3-6)[EVIL Manasseh, Hezekiah's son, was born during those 15 years and he became King to the detriment of MANY.]
Is it not wheat harvest now? I will call upon the LORD to send thunder and rain. And you will realize WHAT AN EVIL THING YOU DID IN THE EYES OF THE LORD WHEN YOU ASKED FOR A KING. Then Samuel called upon the LORD, and that same day the LORD sent thunder and rain. So all the people stood in awe of the LORD and of Samuel. (1 Sam. 12:17,18)

For John baptized with water, but in a FEW days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:5)Jesus appeared to the saints for 40 days after his bodily resurrection and his ascension to the right hand of the father (Acts 1:3), which started just after he rose from the grave till the disciples saw him ascend into heaven. The time from Passover to Pentecost is 50 days. Subtract the 3 days Jesus was in the grave.
[That means the disciples waited for the baptism of the Holy Spirit approximately 7 days, which is the "FEW" in Acts 1:5.]
Nevertheless, I have a FEW things against you: You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality. Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. (Rev. 2:14,15)["FEW" there equals two.]
