"The falling away first is the rapture."The passage in question declares:
Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, (2 Th 2:1) not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. (2 Th 2:2) Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion [or "FALLING AWAY"] occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. (2 Th 2:3)That pre-trib rapture defense is impossible. WHY? The Greek term for "falling away" in 2 Thess. 2:3 means: 'defection from truth' or 'forsake'. The Greek term is APOSTASIA, from which we get the word apostasy.
Instead of pre-trib, the rapture is the post tribulation gathering of the saints (the elect) from earth to heaven to meet the Lord in the air (Mark 13:24-27; etc.), and it occurs at the last trumpet (1 Cor. 15:52).

To be called a "man of God" is a great compliment, and such a person is clearly "throughly equipped" with SCRIPTURE ALONE - 2 Tim. 3:16,17.
Timothy was the ONLY one called a "man of God" in the whole NT, and he was commanded to "preach the word", that is, to preach what is in the Bible ALONE (2 Tim. 4:2). (Do YOU claim to be a "man of God"?)

The city clerk quieted the crowd and said: "Men of Ephesus, doesn't all the world know that the city of Ephesus is the guardian of the temple of the great Artemis and of her image, which FELL FROM HEAVEN?" (Acts 19:35)Ephesus, in Paul's day, was loaded with pagan female goddess worship. The report about her image is that it "fell from heaven". Similarly, in Islam they believe their sacred black stone, WHICH THEY KISS, came from heaven.
Both IDOLATROUS images, and the wickedness associated with them, claim its source was God's HEAVEN, when it was actually from the devil, consequently leading the deceived into false worship (idolatry) and eternal fire (Rev. 21:8).
Just because something claims to have 'fallen from heaven,' does not mean it did nor automatically came from God. The devil can perform miracles. Such explains how so many different religious groups, claim miracles or visions, but be in opposition to one another - and especially the Bible.

(Dan 9:27)The context of that "seven" period is NOT, and can NOT be, connected to the Great Tribulation period; it is referring to a covenant or a treaty. Proponents of such a position have the burden of proof, and they have not met it. Hence, there is no evidence the tribulation period is 7 years.
Again, we do not know how long the Great Tribulation is, and NOTHING explicitly indicates the start of it. It might be 10 years long or 20 years long, but we just do NOT know.

Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. (Exo 34:14)He is a jealous God who will have no gods before him (Ex. 20:3). To love him with ALL of your heart, soul, mind and strength is the FIRST and GREATEST COMMAND (Mt. 22:37,38; Mk. 12:30,31; Lk. 10:27,28), which actually means to OBEY God (Jn. 14:15; 14:23; 1 Jn. 5:3).
Unless we LOVE JESUS more than all others, including our own life, we are NOT "worthy" of him, and if we are not worthy of him, we are not worthy of eternal life because HE IS ETERNAL LIFE (1 Jn. 1:2).

When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you." Godly sorrow brings REPENTANCE THAT LEADS TO SALVATION and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. (2 Cor 7:10)
He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but WHOEVER CONFESSES AND RENOUNCES THEM FINDS MERCY. (Prov 28:13)Clearly, repentance precedes salvation. Remember that basic truth. How could anyone justly think God will regenerate, cleanse and place his Holy Spirit within a sinner, who is still embracing their beloved sins, but some do?
To be freed from sin's addictions and changed: one cries out to God for mercy over his own wickedness, turns to God in repentance from his idols and places a submissive faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to serve God, just as it says here:
