Scripture is given for correction and rebuking, thereby making it final authority and the basis of correctness (2 Tim. 3:16,17). Christian teachers and preachers are to "preach the word" (2 Tim. 4:2), thereby showing it is the one and only supreme source to draw from for doctrinal truth.
The public reading of scripture (1 Tim. 4:13) is obviously powerful and effective in itself, as is also the verbal reading of scripture to the local congregation of the saints (Col. 4:16; 1 Thess. 5:27). Scripture was written simply so it can be easily understood (2 Cor. 1:13) without anyone teaching it (1 John 2:27) [though there are true teachers -Eph. 4:11]. God's word is also alive and is working in believers (1 Thess.2:13).

NOTE: Apollos ONLY knew John's baptism (not the Christian baptism) and, yet, nonetheless, he was mightily used by God (Acts 18:24-28). Apollos is a definite problem for the water-baptism-for-salvation people.
Water baptism is for a pledge of a good conscience towards God, a pledge that one makes AFTER salvation (1 Pet. 3:21). In the second passage (Gal. 1:8-10), the condemnation openly and clearly stated for all who preach a false gospel, be it an angel or a person, are certainly pleasing God. A false gospel is a false way to salvation and must be opposed by the Christian who is pleasing God, instead of man, by opposing the false gospel. False gospel preachers are often man-pleasers and ear-ticklers - leading many to eternal fire.
Watch your life and DOCTRINE closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (1 Tim. 4:16)ALL Christians, even YOU, have been entrusted with the gospel, the plan of salvation.
